LinuxTag 2010 conference held in Berlin, Germany has been officially opened starting on June 9, 2010. This annual event proposed for the Linux community as a whole, including for the beginners, professional users and for developers.

At the opening ceremony, mils Magnus, Program Chair LinuxTag 2010, emphasized the importance of free project, the software on this event. This year, more than 75 free software projects, ranging from the protection of data, multimedia, and free maps, will be presented at the LinuxTag 2010. total, there are around 43 commercial providers, including SAP, Oracle, and WMVare, participated in these activities.

LinuxTag 2010 has more than 300 presentations on various topics. Several speakers are scheduled to attend, including founder and former CEO of Canonical, Mark Shuttleworth, the Google Open Source Programs Manager, Chris DiBona, and James Utzschneider, from Microsoft, the Federal Government of Germany, CIO, Corlenia Rogall Grothe is also scheduled to attend this conference. The organizers hope this event can be attended by visitors from 10,000.
